I have always been a fan of scanning Bridal magazines; I draw inspiration from the models who can wear a dress with confidence, a photographer who can take a risk and editors that let their pictures tell a story, it's what makes a magazine come to life. Central Florida Bridal magazine has done an outstanding job of keeping this type of tradition alive. A few months ago I was asked to shoot the cover for Central Florida Bride, which would also include a seven page editorial spread. I really wanted to put a fashion editorial spin on the feature. Since the moment I was asked, I knew I wanted to do something with an modern vintage edge so I chose to shoot at the Grand Bohemian. Anyone who has had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Bohemian is aware of its aura, consisting of unique and elegant and artful decor giving the venue a personality of its own. As I scanned the hotel from top to bottom selectively choosing where the models would be placed, my creative mind was sync with the visions I first had when asked to do the cover. On March 16th I met with the buyer and directing manager for Solutions Bridal, Tali Gallo, Makeup artist from Makeoverstation, Simone, and three gorgeous models to start and complete the shoot. We graciously greeted by the amazing staff at the Grand Bohemina. The talented Jeffery Stoner of Jeffery Stoner Video was there there to capture an editorial behind the scenes. I am so thrilled to see his rendition and outtakes! The artful event designers Brittany and Chris of Botanica International Design were there to aid in the finalization of the floral detailing and scene development.
The whole shoot was filled with color, life and style. The models were dressed in just a few of the many gorgeous gowns found at Solutions Bridal. Simone made all the women effortless stunning with her unique makeup and hair skills. Overall, it was a complete success I had a ton of fun working with Tali, Simone and all the models! I cannot wait until the magazine is revealed. :)
